Street Smart
“Dine out… Help out" from 10th Nov to 24th Dec 08
For the six weeks in the lead-up to Christmas, StreetSmart has teamed up with BlueFire Churrascaria Grill (along with other restaurants) to ask diners to make a small donation to StreetSmart on their bill.

Queen Victoria Market Cooking School
The Tastes of Japan and the Pacific Rim from Livebait.
Livebait has been at the forefront of the Dockland’s restaurants since the area’s inception. Six years on it still has a loyal band of seafood lovers.
Nowadays Jared Ikihega is at the stoves and he brings to the menu, the eclectic tastes of Asia and the Pacific Rim while staying true to Livebait’s policy of the very freshest seafood.
Jared will be covering seafood dishes with produce from Australia’s waters but with mostly Asian and Pacific influences including a spectacular seafood soup that is really a meal in itself, with mussels, calamari, prawns and fennel and cilantro pesto, then a Japanese style ‘tastes’ platter that is great to share, featuring fine soft shell crab hosomaki rolls, with other Japanese tastes such as salmon nigiri, tuna sashimi, daikon wrapped nori and oysters. Finally he shares a recipe for seared Hokkaido scallops with chorizo and spring salsa. .
